A four-year-old girl has died after a dog attack in England. The incident is said to have taken place on Tuesday evening in a garden behind a house in the English town of Milton Keynes, police said.
“This is an absolutely tragic incident in which we believe a child has died after being attacked by a dog,” a police spokesman said in a statement. The child was therefore pronounced dead on the spot.
According to the police, no other people were affected. There were initially no arrests. The dog was euthanized. Fatal dog attacks are common in England. The victims are often children. A 28-year-old woman was killed by a dog in mid-January.
