Beyoncé is now the most Grammy-winning artist of all time. She won four more trophies at this year’s awards ceremonies.
US singer Beyoncé has set the record for most Grammys of all time with 32 awards. The 41-year-old superstar won the Best Dance/Electronic Album category at the major music award ceremony on Sunday evening (local time) in Los Angeles with her record “Renaissance”, overtaking the late British-Hungarian conductor Georg in Grammy history Solti with 31 prizes. “I try not to be too emotional. I’m trying to just embrace this night,” Beyoncé said, visibly touched.
With tens of millions of records sold and seven studio albums, all of which reached number one in the US charts, Beyoncé is one of the most successful musicians in the world – and one of the richest. She has already set several records in the charts. After a six-year break, she released her seventh studio album “Renaissance” in the summer.
On the danceable record she once again brought the zeitgeist to the point. At the awards ceremony on Sunday in Los Angeles, the hit single “Break My Soul” in particular could make the difference: The song was nominated in the two main categories “Best Song” and “Best Recording” of the year as well as in several other categories. In addition, “Renaissance” was the best album at the start.
The 65th Grammy Music Awards were presented on Monday night in Los Angeles. The gala was again moderated by comedian Trevor Noah. According to the organizer, Grammys should be awarded in 91 categories this year.
