The winter festival “Snow and Ice in Moscow”, which took place in the Muzeon Art Park from December 28 to January 28, was attended by 120 thousand people. This was announced by Natalia Sergunina, Deputy Mayor of Moscow.
Professional artists presented more than 35 ice and snow sculptures decorated with lighting. The height of the figures reached 10 meters. The guests of the festival could also try themselves as sculptors and create their own figures — a separate interactive space was opened for them.
The most popular theme in the works of visitors were Soviet cartoons. The festival also held an excursion for the wards of charitable foundations — the guys also tried themselves as artists.
In total, more than 350 tons of natural ice brought from Udmurtia, Chelyabinsk and Vologda regions.
The festival “Snow and Ice in Moscow” was held in the capital for the second time, it is organized by the City Department of Culture. The event was dedicated to the cultural heritage of Russia.
