Tesla owners currently have to note an urgent recall: As the group writes in a message on “NHTSA.gov”, almost 1.1 million vehicles of the model series 3 (construction year 2017-2022), S (2021-2022), X ( 2021-2022) and Y (2020-2022) affected by a software bug.
This concerns the automatic closing system of the windows of the vehicles. These are equipped with sensors that detect whether an object is blocking the window closing. Because of the software error, Tesla is now warning that drivers and passengers could get their body parts trapped.
The good news: The error can apparently be easily fixed with a software update. However, this is currently not available. Tesla wants to inform affected users about the development from November 15th.
Based on the information on NHTSA, it is not possible to say whether this is a global recall. If you own one of the affected models, Tesla Customer Service can certainly help you.
