Since October 1st, Katharina Prost has been the managing director responsible for finance and administration at Aerologic. This is announced by the freight flight joint venture between DHL Express and Lufthansa Cargo based in Leipzig. Previously, Prost was managing director at the Russian airline caterer Aeromar, a joint venture between Aeroflot and the Lufthansa subsidiary LSG Sky Chefs.
Lufthansa was criticized in September for its stake in Aeromar. At the time, the Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said in the ZDF magazine “Frontal” that through its participation in the Russian airline caterer Lufthansa was “doing business despite the Ukrainian blood that was spilled”.
He called on management to “immediately withdraw from Aeromar and stop supporting Russia’s war crimes.” Lufthansa announced plans to sell its 49 percent stake in Aeromar. Aeroflot holds the majority with 51 percent.
When asked by aeroTELEGRAPH about the status of the planned sale, a Lufthansa spokesman said: “We are in advanced talks.” No further details were given.
