The first deputy head of the Moscow Construction Department, Pyotr Aksenov, died at the age of 77. This is reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the ITPP.
“Almost the entire labor biography of Pyotr Nikolaevich was connected with Moscow, he gave our city more than half a century of his life, having passed a glorious path from a construction worker to the head of entire industries of a huge metropolis,” said Vladimir Platonov, President of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
He clarified that Aksenov’s name will forever be associated with the modern residential areas of the capital built under his leadership, new social and industrial facilities, parks and highways.
Aksenov was born on August 25, 1946 in the village of Pavlovskoye, Lebedyansky district, Lipetsk region. In 2002 – 2007, he was the head of the Municipal Economy Complex, the first deputy mayor of Moscow.
Then he became the first deputy head of the Department of Urban Planning Policy and Reconstruction of the city, from 2008 to 2011 he worked as the first deputy head of the Department of road, bridge and Engineering Construction of the capital.
He was awarded the Order of Merit for the Fatherland of the fourth degree, as well as a number of other state and city awards.
