Because soy could be included, vegan tarte skewers are being recalled at Kaufland.
Several batches of the products “K-take it veggie Vegane Flammeskebfe” in the BBQ and Hot varieties with the best before date October 1, 2022 are affected, Kaufland announced on Friday.
The vegan skewers are based on wheat and pea protein – soy is usually not included and therefore not stated on the packaging. Customers who are not allergic to soy can eat the skewers without hesitation, it said.
In the worst case, consuming soy can also lead to shortness of breath or shock in the case of an allergy.
Kaufland immediately removed the affected products from the manufacturer Van Loon Son from sale. Customers who already have them at home can return them without a receipt.
