The price spiral for electricity continues to spiral upwards, but not always at the same pace. While the costs are skyrocketing in some places, they are still moderate next door. The new electricity price atlas shows where electricity is most expensive in Germany.

The installments will be due again soon. For many people in Germany, given the current electricity prices, this should not be good news. Because: In more and more circles, electricity has become so expensive that annual sums total more than 1400 euros.

With an energy flat rate of 300 euros per person, people should be relieved in times of the energy crisis. While you can still live with the electricity prices in some districts, especially with the 300-euro flat rate, elsewhere the cost explosion is so high that even state support cannot keep the price down appropriately.

The comparison portal “StromAuskunft” compiled the average electricity costs per year in the various districts of the Federal Republic as part of a study. The current electricity price atlas shows that the Saarland can still be happy about low electricity prices. Here you get an average of 1169 euros per year (as of September 25, local supplier). Also still in the green: Bremen. In the Hanseatic city you pay an average of 1376 euros per year.

However, the energy crisis has hit Brandenburg, Thuringia and Baden-Württemberg particularly hard. Here, electricity costs more than 1,400 euros on average over the year.

But it’s even more expensive. The electricity price altas shows a patchwork quilt within the federal states. There are sometimes large price differences between the individual districts. The lowest electricity price in Germany is 38.12 cents per kilowatt hour on average. The annual household costs would therefore amount to 1334 euros.

In Duisburg, for example, one can only dream of that. Here the electricity price for the year is over 2700 euros. This makes the North Rhine-Westphalian city one of the cities in Germany that have already broken the 2000 euro mark in electricity prices:
