A dead baby was found in a pond in Oberirsen in the Westerwald. An angler discovered it when he and two of his children were looking for a lost fishing reel with a magnetic fishing rod. But in the murky water, two meters deep, he came across a bag instead – stones and a baby’s corpse in it, reports the “Bild am Sonntag”. The 600-strong community has been in shock ever since.
The little body was autopsied. However, there is “no information about the cause or time of death,” the Bams quoted the Koblenz public prosecutor as saying.
There is a first suspicion for this. Investigations against a “juvenile person” were initiated. Age and gender are not published in order to protect the person and not to jeopardize the investigation.
