Saudi special envoy Muhammad Al-Qahtani collapsed and died during a speech in Egypt. The businessman had just been praising the autocratic rulers of the Emirates. Then he collapsed.

There are disturbing cell phone recordings that are currently making the rounds on Twitter. Saudi businessman and special envoy Muhammad Al-Qahtani addresses a conference in Egypt. Suddenly, Al-Qahtani collapses at the lectern. Security forces apparently take him to an adjoining room. But the man can no longer be saved. Al-Qahtani dies.

Journalist Saad Abedine from the Arabic TV station “Al Jazeera” distributed the corresponding video on Twitter. Abedine writes: “What a way to die. The last breath is filmed and he still cheered for insane.”

According to a report by the Arab news portal “Arabi 21”, Al-Qahtani is said to have described the ruler of the United Arab Emirates, Mohammed bin Zayed, in his speech shortly before his death as “the Dean of humanity and a man of peace”. Al-Qahtani received applause for his statement, then fell backwards.

Al-Qahtani, who, according to the Australian news portal “news.com.au”, lived in the Emirates and was a board member of a Saudi investment company, was also a “special ambassador for good causes”.

The event in Cairo was titled “In Support of Achievements of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi”. The conference was attended by representatives of regional and international organizations – including some ambassadors and Arab celebrities.
