Bergader Privatkäserei GmbH warns against listeria in soft cheese with blue mold. It is the product “Bavaria blu Der Würzige 300g” with the best before date August 29, 2022 and the indicator “4006402020550”, as the company announced on Tuesday evening. Batches 0102 and 0140 are affected. The product is being recalled as a precaution.
According to the Lebensmittelwarning.de portal, only the state of Bavaria is affected. According to the company, the cheese was sold in branches of the discounters Lidl, Netto, Norma, Penny and in some regions also in Aldi Süd stores. According to the information, the cheese was also sold in Austria.
“During an internal routine check, Listeria was detected in a sample during monitoring. No listeria could be detected in the end products. However, it cannot be completely ruled out that the end product may contain Listeria,” the company said.
The bacterial germ Listeria monocytogenes can cause severe stomach and intestinal diseases. Listeria disease usually manifests itself within 14 days after infection with diarrhea and fever. Pregnant women, the elderly and people with a weakened immune system in particular can develop more severe illnesses with blood poisoning and meningitis. In pregnant women – even without symptoms – the unborn child can be harmed.
Around 50,000 fans attended a spectacular Rolling Stones concert in Gelsenkirchen. For the band, however, the path was a “difficult birth”. The German rush hour traffic almost slowed her down. The police had to rush to their aid.
Jens Lehmann is apparently threatened with new trouble. According to a report, the ex-national goalkeeper has to give up his driver’s license for three months. Lehmann complains against it – but the process has to be adjourned.
