In order to promote a current demonstration in Heidenau in Saxony, right-wing extremists published a video in which the kidnapping of Robert Habeck was staged. In the video, the supposed Federal Minister of Economics could be seen tied up in a trunk and with a sack over his head, reports “Tag24”.
The video was published on the Facebook profile of Max Schreiber, a supporter of the NPD and the “Free Saxony”. “On Monday, the Heidenau citizens’ protest will take care of Robert Habeck and put him on trial,” he wrote.
Criticism quickly poured down. Schreibers justified the action by saying that it was merely symbolic street theatre. Apparently the district office had previously approved a pillory as a means of rallying.
The video has since been removed from Facebook after a criminal complaint was filed for inciting crimes. “We have reported the video to Facebook for review under the Network Enforcement Act and removal. In addition, we are also examining the facts from a legal point of view,” confirmed a spokeswoman for the Green politician.
Demonstrations against the Corona measures have been taking place in Heidenau for several months. The initiators are right-wing extremists from the “Free Saxony” group.
