After Julian Nagelsmann left last summer, RB managing director Mintzlaff drew attention to himself with combative tones. Now he admits to regretting these statements.
RB boss regrets earlier statements: Oliver Mintzlaff sees his statements from last summer critically. “When Julian Nagelsmann went to Munich, I said that he would feel our breath on the back of his neck. From a distance, the statement was simply wrong and not down to earth,” says Mintzlaff to “Sport Bild”.
Short, compact, clear
Bayern transfers are “business”: The RB managing director is relaxed about the fact that coach Julian Nagelsmann also switched players to FC Bayern. “I don’t blame Julian for that. That’s the business. We continue to have a good relationship.”
The Champions League remains the main goal: Leipzig again has big plans for the next season – with one caveat. “We have the ambition to always play in the Champions League and to survive the group stage there. But we’re not yet a club that can call out the hunt for Bayern.”
