Timo Baumgartl is on the mend after his cancer. The treatments are complete, he has even been able to walk and is aiming for a date for his comeback on the pitch.
Baumgartl starts again with sports: In May, soccer professional Timo Baumgartl made his testicular cancer disease public. Now the 26-year-old player from Union Berlin is on the mend and announces on “Bild”: “I’ve had all the chemotherapy that should be done. I’m fine even though my hair has fallen out. I’ve been running too.”
Short, compact, clear
Date for comeback in sight: When the latest test results have been evaluated, Baumgartl can perhaps already plan his comeback in team training. The Bundesliga professional reveals: “I have an appointment in mind. But not even my girlfriend knows that.”
Loan extended by one year: “Everyone is behind me, that means a lot to me,” said the native Swabian in the spring. Union Berlin has extended the loan agreement with PSV Eindhoven by another year so that he can continue to be treated at the Berlin Charité.
