Lower fixed costs, a quieter life, structure for the children – the German-Russian “Goodbye Germany” emigrant Oksana Kolenitchenko (34) had high hopes for her move from Los Angeles to Las Vegas, accompanied by VOX. But the first few weeks in the new adopted country were complicated.

The influencer, husband Daniel (40) and the children Milan (7) and Arielle (5) had to temporarily live in an Airbnb accommodation until they could move into their 200 square meter dream house. The nightclub operators hadn’t found a new gastronomic project either – during the bridging period, dad Daniel had to commute regularly to Los Angeles to check on things in the club restaurant The Next Door Lounge, which they hadn’t given up yet .

At the first farewell, just ten days after the move, bitter tears flowed from daughter Arielle, and the rest of the family also found the sudden separation visibly difficult: “We’ve been together 24 hours a day for the last year and a half,” explained Oksana. It was “just the crazy feeling” that her husband was suddenly no longer by her side.

Although he was in his element in his club in West Hollywood, he couldn’t really enjoy the success there despite record earnings this weekend, he missed his wife so much. “We share so much suffering – then we deserve to share the joy together.” He could not have imagined how much the balancing act between job and family would weigh on him. Quickly a new store in Las Vegas, that would be it now!

But the Kolenitchenkos shouldn’t be under any illusions, warned their friend Franz Kollinger. Business in the party metropolis is tough, money doesn’t play a role here. And if Daniel thinks he can compete with the big club operators here, then he’s wrong: “They’ll eat you! They’ll eat you skin and hair!”

While Daniel was completely different with these sayings, Oksana tried to be confident: You just have to visualize success, then it will happen: “You have to see it, you have to feel it. You have to get up every day and say to yourself: I’m going to find my Las Vegas store! He’s there, he’s waiting for me – and then it will happen, honey!”

When it came to the next problem, it was Daniel who took it easy: The container with the furniture and other family possessions hadn’t arrived yet and should – hopefully anyway! – only arrive ten days later than planned. While Oksana was “horrified” because of this, Daniel remained calm: “Honey, something like this happens when we move.”

However, when the time had come and the moving container finally arrived, the next bankruptcy followed immediately: two of the five movers ordered canceled at short notice, a third didn’t even show up. “Typically American!” scolded Daniel. Without further ado, the VOX camera team had to lend a hand so that even heavier objects could find their place in the new home. The first hurdles were finally overcome. Would the family also create the next one? “Never give up!”, Oksana was combative!
