Daniel-Kofi Kyereh from FC St. Pauli was courted by several Bundesliga clubs for a long time – now the 26-year-old has made his decision. And that’s called SC Freiburg.
Breisgau instead of Weser: The wooing is over. According to “Deichstube”, Daniel-Kofi Kyereh (26), who was recently courted by SC Freiburg and Werder Bremen, has apparently opted for the Europa League participants from Breisgau. According to the “Bild” newspaper, the right foot of FC St. Pauli should cost around 4.5 million euros, but an agreement is still pending. Stuttgart and Mönchengladbach are also said to have been interested.
Short, compact, clear
Werder king transfer burst: For Werder, where Kyereh was supposed to be the “king transfer”, the change is now apparently off the table: “We have dealt intensively with him. But that’s over for us now. We would have liked to do that, but the player chose a different path,” said Clemens Fritz, Head of the Werder Licensing Division.
Europa League and also World Cup? Across all competitions, Kyereh scored 13 goals and eleven assists in the past season. “In view of his performances in the past season, a lot would have to happen for me to say: ‘He can’t keep up'”, said Ghana’s national coach Otto Addo recently about Kyereh’s World Cup chances.
