“Everyone dissatisfied”: After it was announced last week that Jann-Fiete Arp is leaving FC Bayern, sporting director Hasan Salihamidciz is now trying to explain the situation. In the “Sport Bild” he says: “Of course we are all dissatisfied with the development of Fiete Arp, including Fiete.” Instead of a fixed annual salary of four million euros plus one million euros in possible bonuses, the 22-year-old now receives three million euros in severance pay.
Short, compact, clear
No breakthrough in three years: After three years in which things didn’t work out, you had reached a point where it was good for both sides to part. “And that was done then,” said Salihamidciz. “He made his first Bundesliga appearances for HSV and was considered the best German striker after the U17 World Cup,” said the Bosnian, explaining the purchase at the time.
It had started so well. Arp switched from HSV to Bayern in 2019 for a fee of three million euros. However, he only played one game for the professionals (in the DFB Cup), after which he only played in the second team. After all, he went on loan to Holstein Kiel last season and scored three goals and two assists in 25 competitive games.
