The Formula 1 team Red Bull has suspended replacement driver Jüri Vips with immediate effect because of a racist remark. The 21-year-old Estonian is said to have become abusive during a video game live stream on a social media platform.

“As an organization, we condemn all forms of assault and have a zero tolerance policy for racist language and behavior,” the Red Bull statement said.

Vips made his debut in free practice for a Formula 1 race at the Spanish Grand Prix in May, replacing regular Mexican driver Sergio Perez. It was his only mission. Vips has mainly been in Formula 2, where he won two of 43 career races.

Until a few days ago, Sasa Kalajdzic was still one of the most sought-after Bundesliga strikers. But now the interested clubs, including FC Bayern and BVB, are looking for alternatives.
