The Austrian tennis professional Dominic Thiem will not compete at the tennis tournament in Wimbledon, but he is now making other headlines. The police have now approached Thiem because of suspected pornography.

Thiem is currently working on his career comeback after a long injury and was recently unable to regain his old strength on the ATP tour. He is currently training at his father’s academy in Traiskirchen, Austria.

And that’s where the police moved in, as reported by the broadcaster “Ö3”. Neighbors would have heard loud moans and seen Thiem shirtless. They then called the police. The suspicion: a porn shoot!

However, Thiem took the assignment with humor and the incident was quickly cleared up. When tennis professionals train, things can sometimes get loud. “I trained shirtless,” says Thiem at “Ö3”. “This isn’t the first time people have complained. But it’s always funny and not incomprehensible. It can get loud and weird.”

Thiem suffered a wrist injury at the lawn tournament in Mallorca on June 22, 2020, which kept him away from the tour for 280 days. He has now dropped to 352 in the ATP ranking. After his comeback this year, however, Thiem suffered seven defeats in seven tournaments, so the US Open winner withdrew to a training block. Thanks to his “protected ranking” he can use fixed starting places in upcoming tournaments despite his current low performance.

Moaning will continue by July 4th at the latest, when Thiem competes in the Challenger tournament in Salzburg.
