Ex-Bundesliga coach Alexander Nouri was recently unsuccessful. But after his failed tenures at Hertha BSC and Werder Bremen, he now wants to make a fresh start – in his father’s home country.

New job opportunity for Nouri in his father’s home country: According to media reports, former Bundesliga coach Alexander Nouri is being discussed at the Iranian club Esteghlal. An insider confirmed plans to the German Press Agency. For Nouri, who was unsuccessful in his previous coaching positions at Hertha BSC and Werder Bremen, moving to his father’s home country would be a new beginning.

Short, compact, clear

Unsuccessful past at Werder and Hertha: The club from the Iranian capital Tehran wanted to hire the 42-year-old as a coach two years ago, but Nouri rejected the offer at the time. Instead, the coach, who had previously failed at Werder Bremen, took over Hertha. But even there his working hours were characterized by little success.

Most recently, Nouri trained in Greece: Nouri, who has an Iranian father and a German mother, coached the Greek club AO Kavala until three months ago. However, after only 15 games as head coach, he resigned there as well.
