The neo-Nazi party “The Right” wants to demonstrate on Sylt. Among other things, it should go against the “lack of community spirit”. The police have been alerted and are preparing.
First it was the punks who made headlines on Sylt, now the neo-Nazis want to come. The party “The Right” has registered a demonstration for July 30 in Westerland and has been advertising it online for days.
One wants to set an example against the “absolute decline of the railway network and the bartering of state property,” says an appeal distributed on Telegram. The “€9 ticket” once again “clearly demonstrated” this circumstance. It is also said to go against the “completely lacking sense of community” that is said to have been “installed in our people”.
The party is now mobilizing its supporters to “come to the demo on our German island on the North Sea”.

According to the Office for the Protection of the Constitution, the party “Dierechte” has only 500 members nationwide. In the constitutional protection report presented at the beginning of June, the authority writes: “Since it was founded, ‘Dierechte’ has been a catchment area for neo-Nazis, including those from previously banned right-wing extremist groups.”
And further: “The boundaries between party supporters and local neo-Nazi structures are regularly blurred. The party status is primarily misused as a protection against measures by the security authorities and association law.”
