Andreas Poulsen’s time at Borussia Mönchengladbach could soon be over. The centre-back once arrived for €4.5m but proved a huge transfer flop.

Transfer flop for 4.5 million euros: Borussia Mönchengladbach wants to part with defender Andreas Poulsen as soon as possible, as “Bild” reports. The 22-year-old came from FC Midtjylland four years ago for €4.5m as a promising defender but failed to impress there. His contract runs until 2023.

Short, compact, clear

Farewell before the start of training? Gladbach’s sports director Roland Virkus announces that a “good solution for both sides” is currently being worked on. Poulsen could therefore leave the club before the start of training on June 26th.

No action in the Bundesliga: Poulsen did not play a game in the Bundesliga during his four years as a Gladbach professional. Only at the beginning of his time in Borussia did he play 32 minutes in the first round of the cup, beating BSC Hastedt 11-1. Most recently, he was loaned out to a number of clubs, such as FC Ingolstadt last season.
