Eintracht Frankfurt may part ways with fan favorite Martin Hinteregger at a price far below market value. The central defender has to answer for some missteps at the moment.
Hinteregger now before Eintracht-Aus: Martin Hinteregger may leave Eintracht Frankfurt this summer, as “Sport1” reports. It could be sold well below its market value of nine million euros (three to five million euros). The reason for this are several mistakes by the central defender in the past few weeks.
Short, compact, clear
Relationship to right-wing politician: Hinteregger recently told the “Kronen Zeitung” that Eintracht had recommended a change and that the relationship between him and the club had cracked. The Austrian blogger Michael Bonvalot then exposed some of the 29-year-old’s business relationships with the right-wing extremist FPÖ politician Heinrich Sickl, which are said to have ended in the meantime.
Hertha interested in Hinteregger? Hertha BSC is being traded as a hot candidate for a new club. After all, managing director Fredi Bobic had already managed the transfer of the Austrian national player to Frankfurt in 2019.
