No place at FC Bayern: 20-year-old Karim Adeyemi caused a sensation last year. Born in Munich, he played in the youth team of FC Bayern from 2009 to 2011, but was sorted out there after two years. In an interview with “Sport1” he says looking back: “I think I made the right steps after my time in Munich. No other player from my year made the breakthrough at Bayern at the time.”

Dortmund as the next step: In the summer, the national player will switch from RB Salzburg to Dortmund, the club said Adeyemi “was very sympathetic in the past” and he believes that he would fit in well with Borussia, he explains his decision. The 20-year-old continues: “The club showed me how they wanted to work with me and I immediately felt comfortable.”

Personal goals for the new season: The U21 European champion also talks about specific goals with BVB: “I want to integrate well into the team, have a permanent place in the team, play in the starting XI. I didn’t set myself a goal mark. I’m happy about every goal.”
