The furniture company Ikea is recalling its “Metallisk” espresso maker. This could burst during use and must therefore be withdrawn from circulation. The reason for this is the change in the material and the safety valve.
For safety reasons, the Ikea furniture store is recalling the “Metallisk” model espresso maker. “There is an increased risk that the product could burst during use,” said the group on Wednesday in Hofheim, Hesse.
Affected are the 0.4-liter cookers with stainless steel safety valve with date stamps between 2040 and 2204. These can be returned for a refund of the full purchase price, a receipt is not required. The problem lies in the change in the material and the design of the safety valve, it said.
