Eintracht Frankfurt’s star Filip Kostic wanted to go on strike to AS Roma last year – in vain. Whether it comes to a move to Italy at the second attempt is left to the player by Eintracht this time. And the decision is near.

Kostic has a choice: Markus Krösche, sports director of Eintracht Frankfurt, puts the decision regarding potential changes in the hands of the players concerned, according to “T-Online”. For example, midfield star Filip Kostic, who is being courted by Juventus Turin, decides for himself “whether he goes, stays or extends beyond 2023”. The thoughts of the Serbian national player are already close to completion.

Short, compact, clear

The philosophy of Eintracht: Krösche emphasizes to “Sport Bild” that Eintracht “does not prevent anything on principle”. It is part of the club’s philosophy “that we give players away when the financial conditions are right – even if it hurts to lose important players and people”. In addition to Kostic, Daichi Kamada and Evan Ndicka could also leave Frankfurt in the summer.

New hope: At the same time, Krösche is optimistic about some newcomers for the new season. Due to the Europa League victory and the resulting Champions League qualification, however, he tries to keep the balance between level and salary structure when it comes to transfers.
