Newcastle want Diaby: Moussa Diaby wants to play in the English Premier League soon. The main interest in the French international is currently Newcastle United, but Bayer Leverkusen want to keep the 22-year-old for at least another year. According to The Telegraph, Newcastle wanted to offer 70 million euros, but Bayer want 100 million euros.

United are withdrawing: This sum deterred even Newcastle, which has a bulging account after being taken over by a Saudi sovereign fund. Diaby still has a contract in Leverkusen until 2025, there is no exit clause.
Bayer remains firm: “Moussa is an important building block for us, he is very ambitious and the Champions League is a wonderful challenge for him,” said Leverkusen sports director Simon Rolfes (40) to “Bild”. Diaby himself would like to play for a club that can win the handle pot, as he himself said last week.
