According to Michael Meier, former Borussia Dortmund manager, coach Marco Rose never had a real chance with the Westphalians. The reason is the early decision of the coaching question and the success of the then interim solution Edin Terzic, who is now permanently BVB head coach.
Rose as a “victim” of Dortmund’s actions: Borussia Dortmund’s former manager Michael Meier thinks that Marco Rose never had a real chance at BVB. “As strange as it may sound, BVB fell victim to its early decision in the coaching position at the beginning of the season,” says Meier to “Sport1”.
Short, compact, clear
Terzic became a problem for Rose: Meier explains: “The separation from Favre during the season meant that an interim solution had to be found for the time until Rose took up office. BVB installed this internally with the then very successful Edin Terzic, while at the same time Rose’s team in Gladbach began to falter in terms of sport.”
Rose mortgage from Gladbach: While Terzic won the DFB Cup with BVB, Rose gambled away all of the season’s goals with his former club. Meier says that “this mortgage has affected Rose’s work.” This case shows “that planning too early is also associated with unforeseeable risks.”
