Not just vacation: Robert Lewandowski (33) makes no secret of his plans to move from Bayern to FC Barcelona. In the most recent interview with the world footballer, he indicated in flowery words to “Eleven Sports PL” how he imagines his future: “Spain is great! We have a house in Mallorca. The feeling for Spain is there and I think it’s a really good place – not only to go on holiday there.”
The offer stands: Lewandowski remains vague: “It’s difficult to say whether I’ll still be playing for Bayern next season. A move to Barça? It depends on several factors. I think my situation is clear and there’s no point in talking about it.” Barcelona have reportedly already made a €32m offer. However, the FC Bayern management is demanding at least 40 million euros and is only willing to sell if an adequate replacement is found.
Spicy statement: The Pole is currently on vacation in southern France and had made a detour to the Monaco Grand Prix. There he faced this interview with a Polish television station in the pit lane and didn’t mince his words.
