Tenth-ranked Wisconsin lost its leading scorer Johnny Davis, who was hurt on a flagrant foul in the second period. The Badgers missed an opportunity to win the Big Ten title by losing to Nebraska 74-73.
Alonzo Verge Jr. scored the last nine points for Nebraska, as part of a 12-0 rally that ended in the closing minutes.
Wisconsin (24-6, 15-5), could finish alone at the top of the Big Ten if Illinois loses to Iowa on Sunday. The conference tournament begins Wednesday.
Davis suffered a serious injury when he was fouled by Trey McGowens on a layup attempt. It was 17:32. Davis left the bench and went to the locker. The Badgers informed him that he had a lower back injury.
Davis averages 20.3 points per game and 8.3 rebounds. McGowens injured Davis, and he was then ejected.
With less than six minutes remaining, the Cornhuskers (21-21, 4-16), were trailing 71-62. Verge led them to victory 74-71, with two free throws in 37 seconds. Verge finished with 26 points.

MEMPHIS (TNN) — Tyler Harris scored 15 and Landers Nolley & Lester Quinones added 11 to lead Memphis.
Houston was defeated by the Tigers for the second consecutive season. Memphis beat Houston 69-59 last month (19-9, 13-5 American Athletic Conference), snapping their 37-game winning streak at home.
Houston was led by Kyler Edwards (26-5, 15-3), with 19 points.

COLUMBUS (OHI) — DeVante Jones scored 21 points, and Michigan rallied during the second half. Michigan won its high-profile Big Ten regular season with a victory.
Phil Martelli, fill-in coach, coached the Wolverines (17-13 and 11-9) while Juwan Howard completed his five-game suspension after he hit a Wisconsin assistant during a postgame handshake.
Howard will be back at the conference’s start this week, when the Big Ten conference starts.
E.J. Liddell had his eighth double-double, scoring 16 points and grabbing 13 rebounds for Ohio State (19-10-12-8).
