The Southeastern Conference will bring its women’s basketball tournament to South Carolina.
The league announced Thursday that it will host the postseason event at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena, Greenville, in 2023/24 and 2025.
This venue has hosted the tournament five times, including three previous years. Next week, the SEC will be playing in Nashville, Tennessee.
Greg Sankey, SEC Commissioner, stated that the success of previous tournaments in Greenville was the reason for returning. He said that he was looking forward to partnering again with Greenville’s hosts to create a memorable experience for SEC students-athletes, coaches, and fans over the next few years.
It has been a positive experience for No. South Carolina has won three of the four past tournaments held in the building, located just two hours from the campus.
