If you want to be active in winter but aren’t concerned about the cold, then check out these programs by Milwaukee recreation.
Milwaukee Public School’s Recreation Department offers a variety of recreational opportunities, including yoga classes, outdoor education activities and equipment rentals.

Yoga etc.
Milwaukee Recreation offers yoga classes at Beulahbrinton Community Center (2555 S. Bay St.) and Hawthorne Glen Outdoor Education Center (1130 N. 60 NS.
Classes will be held at Beulahbrinton on Friday, February 28th from 10:30 to 11:30 AM. Classes will be held at Hawthorn Glen on Wednesday, January 19th through 5:30 pm. March 9.
New Year Yoga Fest The event will take place from 9 a.m. on January 1st. There are three classes that will help you find the right yoga style. The first class is from 9:45 to 9:45 AM. Next, there’s gentle yoga between 10:45 and 10:45. Family yoga takes place from 11:45 to 11:45.

Milwaukee Recreation offers free time during the Twilight Hour 7 locations Monday through Saturday. The address is:
Andrew Douglas Middle school, 3620 N. 18 , NS , NS. Monday through Friday, 5 pm to 8pm 10 to 15 year old
Bayview High School at 2751 S. Lenox St. – Friday and Sat – 5:30pm to 8:30pm 10 to 15 year old
These schools are open Monday through Wednesday, 6pm to 9pm, Saturday, 6pm to 10pm, and 12-18 years old.

Take a walk in the park
Milwaukee Recreation hosts a Milwaukee Walking Club every Tuesday and Thursday. Participants meet at different locations and walk three miles back to their starting point.
Winter Wonder Woods, a walk in Hawthorne Glen with holiday lights and displays, will take place on December 10, December 11, December 17, and December 18 from 5 pm to 8:30 pm .. milwaukeerecreation.net Or call 414-475-8811. Walks cost $ 4 per person.
You can also rent toboggans and skis from Hawthorne Glen, from weekends through February.
You can rent toboggan sledding for as low as $ 3 an hour on Saturdays between January 1st and February 26th.
Skis are available for rent for $ 5 per resident and $ 8 per non-resident on Sundays between January 2nd and February 27th, 11am-4pm.
Cross County Ski Classes are available from 10am to noon on January 15, 22nd and 23rd. Classes are $ 15 for residents, $ 20 for nonresidents.
