It says: “To carry out from October 1 to December 31, 2021 conscription of citizens of the Russian Federation aged 18 to 27 years who are not in reserve and are subject to conscription in the amount of 127,500 people in accordance with the federal law “On Military Duty and Military Service”. According to the decree, the dismissal of soldiers, sailors, sergeants and foremen whose conscription period has expired will be carried out at the same time.
The algorithm of conscription measures in Russia can be judged by the example of 29 subjects of the Russian Federation, on the territory of which the Central Military District is located. It is already known that in the next three months, more than 54 thousand young people will be sent to service from there, i.e. more than a third of all recruits in autumn-2021. “They will serve in all military districts, in the Northern Fleet, as well as in other law enforcement agencies where military service is provided for by conscription,” Major General Alexander Linkov, head of the organizational and mobilization department of the Central Military District, said on Friday.
He clarified that all conscripts are waiting for rapid testing for COVID-19 before being sent to the assembly points. For the prevention of coronavirus, the assembly and recruitment centers themselves, as well as transport for the transportation of young people, will be sanitized at least twice a day. For this purpose, about 50 special teams have already been formed in the district. They will also perform disinfection of vehicles that will take the guys to the places of future service. And the conscripts will travel by rail, by military transport aircraft, as well as by buses and cars.
The press service of the Central Military District clarified that more than 100 points of separate placement of conscripts are ready in the formations and parts of the district. They were equipped in separate buildings and provided with a stock of protective medical masks, disinfectants. “Commanders who accept recruits into their units will live with conscripts until the end of the two-week period,” the Central Military District headquarters informed.
Now – about the timing of sending conscripts to the army. In the same Central Military District, the first dispatches of recruits from the regions of the Urals, Siberia and the Volga region will begin on October 15. It is reported that more than 300 young people are being conscripted from Altai, Mari El, Chuvashia, Altai Krai, Irkutsk, Saratov, Kirov, Kurgan and Kemerovo regions. “This fall, 180 conscripts will join the ranks of the Presidential Regiment, which is 30 more people than in the spring draft of this year. The candidates passed the competition, having successfully overcome the tests of professional, psychological selection and in-depth medical examination,” Major-General Linkov said.
