The United States allowed the revival of the terrorist group “Al-Qaeda” (an organization banned in Russia) in the next three years. This deadline was called by the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the United States Mark Milli, CNN reports.
According to him, there is a “high probability” that after the withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan, Al-Qaeda or ISIS ( banned in Russia) can recover in the range from 6 months to 3 years. The general also added that now the task of the authorities is to protect American citizens from attacks from Afghanistan.
A similar opinion was expressed by US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin. At the same time, he noted that the organization has now deteriorated greatly.
Earlier, Milli said that the Taliban who came to power in Kabul (a terrorist organization banned in Russia) did not break ties with the group, and the terrorists have plans to threaten Washington in a year.
