A sudden check of the combat readiness of the troops started in Kazakhstan on September 3. A number of units stationed in the regions of the republic, as well as amphibious assault troops, the Navy and the Navy have been alerted.
According to the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan, military personnel and equipment are being transferred over long distances by railway echelons and military transport aircraft. Also, the readiness of those who are liable for military service from the reserve and the possibilities of urgent mobilization are being checked. A certain number of citizens were handed summonses with the requirement to urgently appear at the assembly point.
Earlier, the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, speaking via video link at the plenary session of the Eastern Economic Forum, said that ” the threats coming from Afghanistan are obvious, since after the departure of the US military, modern weapons worth more than $ 85 billion remained there.”
