The first deputy head of the international Committee of the Federation Council, Vladimir Dzhabarov, in an interview with RT, commented on the statement of US President Joe Biden about supporting Ukraine “in the face of Russian aggression.”
“I didn’t even doubt that he would say that, but it doesn’t mean anything,” the senator believes.
According to him, this does not mean that “Americans are ready to die for Ukrainians.”
Jabarov added that these statements are nothing more than”protocol phrases”.
“I think we should treat this calmly. We will see how the negotiations will end and how events in relations between Ukraine and the United States will develop further. And the main thing is between us and Ukraine, ” Jabarov concluded.
During a meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart Vladimir Zelensky, the US President declared his readiness to support the sovereignty of Ukraine and its territorial integrity “in the face of Russian aggression.”
