Cold weather with short-term rain is expected in Moscow at the weekend, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the chief specialist of the Moscow meteorological bureau Tatyana Pozdnyakova.
According to her, the temperature on Sunday may drop to 3 degrees in the region and up to 5 degrees in Moscow. On average, on Saturday afternoon, the thermometer will show 14 degrees Celsius, and on Sunday – 12-14.
“That is, the temperature will be significantly lower than on the first day of September, 3 degrees below the climatic norm,” Pozdnyakova said.
She added that short-term rain is not excluded in some places.
According to forecasters, on September 1, the air in Moscow will warm up to 19-21 degrees, and in the Moscow region – to 18-23 degrees. It will be cloudy in the capital with an average atmospheric pressure of 736 millimeters of mercury.
In addition, the Ministry of Emergency Situations warned residents of Moscow about rain with a thunderstorm and strong wind. In the capital region, about 15% of the monthly precipitation rate may fall per day.
