The Ministry of Economic Development will change its forecast of Russia’s GDP growth for 2021. This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the head of the department Maxim Reshetnikov.
The minister, answering the corresponding question of journalists, said that the forecast will be increased from 2.9 percent.
It is noted that many departments and experts predict higher growth rates of the Russian economy in 2021. According to the Central Bank, they will amount to 3-4 percent.
Earlier, the international rating agency Fitch believed in the Russian economy and also raised its GDP growth forecast from 3.3 to 3.7 percent for 2021. This was due to an increase in oil production and the recovery of consumption in the country, Western experts noted.
