The Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Andrew Babish believes that the EU should be more active in relation to the developments in Belarus and to encourage citizens of this country to acts such as "velvet revolution" of 1989 that led to the fall of the totalitarian regime in Czechoslovakia.
"In Belarus should not happen that we have in 1968 (the invasion of the Warsaw Pact in Czechoslovakia – approx. TASS) – posted by Babish on Sunday in a Twitter. – The EU must act. Belarusians should inspire, not to be afraid to make a "velvet revolution" models November 1989".
Babish emphasized the role that process can play member States of the Visegrad group (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland) and the Baltic countries.
