Russia and Switzerland from Saturday to resume flights, which were suspended in late March due to pandemic coronavirus. Currently flights between the two countries will carry out only "Aeroflot". The first flight from Moscow to Geneva will depart on Saturday at 13:50. Only scheduled to run one flight a week.
The Swiss airline Swiss is also planning to resume flights to Moscow, but the exact date the carrier has not yet calls. "any date of resumption, however, yet to confirm is impossible, because it must be approved by the authorities" – explained the official representative of the company.
From 5 August the Swiss authorities have excluded Russia from the list of States of increased risk of infection by a coronavirus. From August 8, Switzerland has abolished the requirement of passing a mandatory 10-day quarantine for arriving from Russia passengers. However, as previously reported by TASS in Embassy of Switzerland in Moscow, the country now will be able to visit only foreign citizens with a residence permit for tourists, the entrance is closed. In addition, in early August, the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin ordered to remove restrictions on entry to Russia for citizens of Switzerland.
As for returning to Moscow, at the moment there are some restrictions: all Russians arriving to the country from abroad must fill out a form on the portal of public services. In addition, within three days from the moment of arrival in the country the Russians should take the test for the coronavirus and post the result on the portal.
Russia gradually began to resume international flights from August 1. At the moment resumed air communication with Turkey, Britain and Tanzania.
