In 2007, late Cretaceous location of Kakanaut in Chukotka managed to dig up the eggs of the two groups of dinosaurs that lived about 70 million years ago. And in 2008, discovered a fragment of small eggs of a predatory lizard here in the Kuzbass, in the whereabouts of Shestakovo-3.
This egg, like the latest find the Kemerovo archeologists, also Dating from the Cretaceous period. Later, in 2014, Shestakovo-3 was discovered a mass grave of skeletons of psittacosaurs Siberian. They are called lizards, parrots: large growths on the upper mandible of the dinosaurs resemble a bird’s beak. They lived on the territory of Kuzbass more than 120 million years ago, it is possible that a new discovery will be able to relate with them.
After the experts, who belonged to the egg, we have studied microstrain shell, and 3D-scanning will help to recreate his form. Area residents and tourists will be able to see the find after it is put in governmental accounting. The fragment will be inserted in the new exhibition of nature Department of Kuzbass state Museum.
