At the recreation Pettycur Bay Holiday Park in Scotland we had to evacuate 500 homes — they started sliding down the hill due to heavy prolonged rain. As a result, nobody was hurt, reports The Sun.
Mobile homes began to literally “drain” down, facing each other. Individual buildings overturned and scattered in different directions, witnesses said.
They said that the “slipping” of the houses was accompanied by strong thunderstorms. “I’ve never seen anything like it. No interval between the lightning. It was like a flicker during the power outage,” — said one of the visitors base.
Also, due to the landslide were blocked by railroad and highway between the cities of Kinghorn and Burntisland. The police have advised all motorists to use alternative route until the road is cleared.
Earlier, a similar situation occurred in the Russian village of kutop’yugan on the Yamal Peninsula. There got rained out apartment building. During a rainstorm it piles washed away. They snapped and the home slid two feet. As a result of incident nobody has suffered.
