The introduction in Russian schools of new positions and qualification categories, among which "teacher-methodologist" and "mentor" to begin in 2021. This was announced by the Minister of education Sergey Kravtsov in an interview, which will be released in the next issue of "Rossiyskaya Gazeta".
"In September 2021 start testing the new system of certification of teachers in schools, the introduction of new positions and qualification categories: teacher-methodologist, teacher-mentor. All this will allow to create conditions for the continuous professional development of teachers, increase the prestige of the profession. And the most important thing is to provide quality educational outcomes", – said Kravtsov.
The head of the Ministry of education of the Russian Federation stressed that the key task which requires urgent attention is the establishment of order in the field of teacher training and retraining. According to him, it is necessary to conduct a complete analysis of programs to understand how they are relevant and solve specific problems that have teachers.
"By the end of 2021, we plan to build a single system of scientific and methodological support of pedagogical workers. It is clear to all checked programs, common evaluation procedures, based on which it is based training – all that we have to unify", – added Kravtsov.
