President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko in interview to the Ukrainian journalist Dmitry Gordon said about the impossibility of integration with Russia. The recording of the interview available on Youtube.
“even If I agreed to the unification on the most favorable terms for Belarus, the Belarusians it will not accept”, – said Lukashenko.
According to him, integration was possible “20-25 years ago,” and now “the people overripe”.
Lukashenka also denied reports that he was offered to become the speaker of the Parliament of the United state of Belarus and Russia. According to him, the role of the “foremen” he would never have agreed.
As reported by “the Rambler”, August 4, Lukashenka delivered his annual address to the Belarusian people and the National Assembly of Belarus. In his speech he said that Russia exchanged fraternal relations with Belarus on a partnership and afraid of losing Belarus, because apart from it has no other really close allies.
