Sunday, August 2, Novoslobodskaya the Park opened the sculpture “Ryazan koopas”. The author acted as Nikolay Torkhov. With him on the way worked as historians and ethnographers. Sculpture made for the funds of the charity.
The opening ceremony was attended by Governor Nikolai Lyubimov.
According to him, sculpture is a collective image of the Ryazan carpenters, to build houses of high complexity with the unique beauty of the carving. He noted that such art objects associated with the history of the Ryazan region and enliven the urban space.
We will remind, “Ryazan koopas” is one of the most recognizable and beloved brands in the city. It symbolizes hard-working Ryazan carpenters, who, with his belt axe, went to work across the country.
