a Sources said that the new Apple watch Series 6 will measure oxygen in the blood. Their launch is expected in late 2020.
As writes Bloomberg, citing DigiTimes, the watch will get the biosensors that will be able to monitor the performance of sleep, oxygen levels in the blood, heart rate and record atrial fibrillation. Also, the device will be equipped with an accelerometer and a gyroscope. This supposedly will allow the watch to lead in measurement accuracy among wearable devices.
Sources said that the Apple Watch the next generation are created in close cooperation with Taiwan’s ASE Technology.
Earlier leaks iOS code 14 has already indicated that the Apple Watch will be able to monitor the level of oxygen in the blood. The watch will show a notification when the saturation level is too low. The decrease of this indicator can indicate problems with the heart or the lungs.
It is worth noting that other watch brands already offer such a feature.
