Amazon will spend more than $10 billion satellite Internet under the name Kuiper, reported CNBC, citing a statement by the senior Vice-President Dave Limp (Dave Limp).
"still too many places where broadband access is unreliable or non-existent. Kuiper is going to change," said Limp.
On Thursday, the Federal communications Commission (FCC) approved the project of satellite Internet. Amazon will launch into orbit satellites 3236. The deployment will take place in five stages, the service will start when space will bring 578 satellites.
Amazon is the largest online retailer launched in 1995. The company operates in the United States, Canada, China, Brazil, Japan and Europe.
