The investigators found a mass grave of dead civilians of Stalingrad (now Volgograd) region, and recovered the remains of 13 people. This is stated in the message on the website of IC Russia.
“Rambler” wrote that earlier the Russia’s Investigative Committee announced the criminal case on the fact of genocide of the people of the Stalingrad region during the great Patriotic war.
According to authorities, the criminal case was found and interviewed direct eyewitnesses to the events that took place in 1942-1943.
“the 93-year-old resident of the village Peregrebnoe October district told investigators how as a teenager she lived in occupied territory, as his eyes saw plying the streets of the German truck, where the Nazis forced imprisoned persons of Jewish nationality (…).
Later the bodies of the murdered women, children and the elderly, local residents discovered just a kilometer away from the neighboring village”, – stated in the message.
In RCDS told that the investigation team found a place of mass murder and have already recovered the remains of 13 victims, including children and infants.
“Even a visual inspection leaves experts in no doubt that the death of these citizens is criminal in nature. (…) The investigative action is on the outskirts of the village of Vodino is complete when the lift 43 of refugees, including 19 children, details of which are contained in the act, the Commission from 1942,” – said in sledkom.
The Ministry noted that there will be a forensic examination, and also conducted excavations “following today’s known places of mass extermination of the civilian population”.
