Russia has provided astronauts to the ISS, private Internet, saving them from having to use the channel of communication of the United States. It noted that the astronauts will be able to fully bilateral communication with the Ground, which increases the possibility of communication.
For one revolution of the ISS (92 minutes) the connection is established twice for about half an hour. Soon the two existing satellites is planned to add a third – this will ensure virtually uninterrupted communication – with the exception of the technical pauses.
Earlier, the astronauts on the ISS could use a private connection only flying over the territory of Russia, and the rest of the time was used by the American channel.
