For the construction of new Orthodox churches in Moscow, the members and sponsors spend about three billion rubles annually. About it reports “Interfax” with reference to the Deputy of the state Duma, the curator of the “Program-200” Vladimir resin.

“the largest donor and the donor is the people, the Muscovites, and residents of Metropolitan areas. They have a need for spiritual development, in the preservation of the traditional foundations of their families, in the transformation of their area in the creation of the new Chronicles of Moscow”, — said the politician.

According to him, people are wiser and far-sighted as many politicians as it understands how to build a future for their children and grandchildren.

Earlier it was reported that the largest temple of the “Program-200” will appear in the North Butovo. The temple complex in honor of the Holy Prince Dmitry Donskoy will open in 2023. The Church itself is designed for a thousand people, and the surrounding area will accommodate a pool, pilgrimage and medical centers.

“Program-200” envisages the construction of 200 Orthodox churches in all districts, except Central. It started in 2010 and is funded with charitable donations. As noted by the resin, the program has overcome the initially stated figure in 200 churches and currently covers 240 projects.
